Meet Dan Borgmeyer

Dan Borgmeyer was born and raised in St. Charles. His folks were Joe and Darleen Borgmeyer. He has two sisters, Connie Bogener, husband John, and Jodie Parker, wife of Dennis. His children are Kelly Daleen, Jack Borgmeyer, Katie Gambrell, and Chloe O’Day. His heritage is Joe Borgmeyer Sr., who was Sheriff of St. Charles, and Arthur Hesskamp of McDonnell Douglas.

The family lived off Boone’s Lick Road in St. Charles County. Dan’s elementary education included Lincoln School, then Central Grade School and finally Borromeo Grade School.

He went on to graduate from Duchesne High School followed by college at St. Benedict’s and Washington University. Member of St. Cletus Parish in St. Charles.

He is a combat veteran of Vietnam where he served as Sergeant of a mobile 155 artillery unit.

After Vietnam he attended the University of Missouri – St. Louis (UMSL). He is also a graduate of the Dale Carnegie Institute.

After Vietnam, Dan returned to his former employment with the F.W. Woolworth Company. After a brief stint at Woolworth, Dan moved to the Carnation Milk Company as a sales rep. He followed Carnation with a job at KIRL-Radio, a daytime rock & roll radio station on North Highway 94. He moved from radio to a position with Jackson Waterbury & Company, a St. Louis advertising agency.

In June of 1973, Dan founded his own advertising agency, Borgmeyer & Associates. He has operated his company, now titled BMG Marketing, for 45 years.

He most recently passed BMG ownership to his son, Jack Borgmeyer.

Dan’s business experience includes 45 years of successful marketing for clients like BJC Hospitals, the St. Louis Blues, Emerson U.S. Motors, Dale Carnegie, Hautly Cheese, General Motors, Dobbs Auto Centers and many more. He has also served on the Advisory Boards of Centerre and Frontenac Banks, and the Board of the Intermarket Advertising Network.

Dan’s charitable involvement includes the March of Dimes, Boys and Girls Clubs of St. Charles County, Duchesne High School, United Services for Children, Community Living, Safari Club International and many more.

Dan has also donated his talents and services as Program Emcee for multiple charity fund raising organizations.

He is a proven leader, with a wealth of business, civic and charitable experience. He is a strategic, yet common-sense thinker and an organized planner and project leader.
